Objectives

The aims and objectives of the forum are as follows:

1. To set up a Neighbourhood Forum and agree the Area of CoverageWe have already established that the Area of Coverage is the whole of Norden Ward with the exclusion of Birtle. We will be discussing with the Birtle Trust how we might cooperate on areas of mutual interest and concern.
2. To Obtain Resources to Develop a Neighbourhood Plan. Our group is fortunate to have the support of Rooley Moor Neighbourhood Forum and they have provided a number of important items including a draft constitution for us to discuss adopt. There is a need to obtain funding for the development of our Plan.
3. To Prepare a Neighbourhood Plan. This will be done by following the template set out in Rochdale Council’s 5 Step Guide To Produce a Neighbourhood Plan, with the support of local councillors and council officers.
